This Week's New Movies

be sure to update your profile if you want to see any of these!

Zombieland Zombieland
In the horror comedy Zombieland focuses on two men who have found a way to survive a world overrun by zombies. Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) is a big wuss -- but when you're afraid of being eaten by zombies, fear can keep you alive. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) is an AK-totin', zombie-slayin' badass whose single determination is to get the last Twinkie on earth. As they join forces with Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin), who have also found unique ways to survive the zombie mayhem, they will have to determine which is worse: relying on each other or succumbing to the zombies.

Whip It!
Rather than competing in beauty pageants like her mom wants her to do, rebellious teen Bliss (Ellen Page) joins a female roller derby team. While fleeing the drudgery of small town life, Bliss meets tough new friends and experiences plenty of painful lessons. Drew Barrymore pulls double duty directing and acting in this coming-of-age tale based on Shauna Cross's novel. Marcia Gay Harden, Kristen Wiig and Jimmy Fallon co-star.

More Than a Game More Than a Game
Filmmaker Kristopher Belman spent months sitting courtside and in the locker room to craft this compelling profile of four black hoopsters at an elite, largely white high school preparing for the playoffs ... and finding their bonds tested. The quartet -- friends and teammates since grade school -- includes LeBron James, who ultimately became a National Basketball Association megastar but faced a media maelstrom in his pressure-cooker senior year.

A Serious Man
When his wife (Sari Wagner) leaves him for one of his colleagues, physics professor Larry Gopnik (Michael Stuhlbarg) admits it's time to become a more serious man. But there's so much holding him back from spiritual greatness -- including a freeloading brother (Richard Kind) and two useless kids. Joel Coen and Ethan Coen helm this autobiographically inspired black comedy set in 1960s Minnesota. Aaron Wolff and Jessica McManus co-star.
