This Week's New Movies

be sure to update your profile if you want to see any of these!

An American Carol An American Carol
David Zucker directs a star-studded cast in this comedy about Michael Malone, a sarcastic, unpatriotic documentary filmmaker who wants to abolish the Fourth of July holiday -- at least until he is visited by three ghosts who want him to reconsider. But can the spirits of America's past, present and future spark a genuine change of heart? Kelsey Grammer, Jon Voight, Dennis Hopper and Kevin P. Farley star in this modern-day, Dickens-inspired fable.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua
Chloe (voiced by Drew Barrymore) is a privileged Chihuahua from Beverly Hills who rides in style in her owner's purse -- until she gets lost on a Mexican vacation, and must find her way home with the help of her newfound Latin canine friends. Salma Hayek, George Lopez, Edward James Olmos, Cheech Marin and Andy Garcia also lend their voices to the cast of this comedic live-action adventure.

Flash of Genius Flash of Genius
In this David vs. Goliath drama based on a true story, college professor Robert Kearns (Greg Kinnear) goes up against the giants of the auto industry when they fail to give him credit for inventing intermittent windshield wipers. Kearns doggedly pursues recognition for his invention, as well as the much-deserved financial rewards for the sake of his wife (Lauren Graham) and six kids. Alan Alda and Dermot Mulroney also star.

How to Lose Friends and Alienate People
Life changes drastically for alternative rag writer Sidney Young (Simon Pegg) when he takes a job at Clayton Harding's (Jeff Bridges) glossy magazine. There, he's drawn into a risky affair with a co-worker (Kirsten Dunst), and his contempt for celebrity is tested by starlet Sophie Maes (Megan Fox). Based on Toby Young's memoir, the indie comedy co-stars Gillian Anderson as the dragon-lady publicist whose power plays turn Young's life upside down.

In Short:

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
When his painfully recent ex-girlfriend (Alexis Dziena) shows up at a gig his band is playing in the city, Nick (Michael Cera) grabs the first girl he sees (Kat Dennings) and asks her to pretend that she's dating him -- but only for the next five minutes. He never expected their fauxmance to turn into something real. Still, the more time they spend together, the more it seems like they're falling in love.
