Drillbit Taylor Three high school freshmen devise a novel plan for dealing with the treacherous school bully: They hire a bodyguard. Salvation comes in the form of Drillbit Taylor (Owen Wilson), a beach bum ex-soldier who teaches the boys some handy life lessons. Leslie Mann co-stars as an English teacher in this hilarious underdog romp co-written by Seth Rogen and based on an original idea by teen-comedy god John Hughes.

Shutter A newly married couple discovers disturbing, ghostly images in photographs they develop after a tragic accident. Fearing the manifestations may be connected, they investigate and learn that some mysteries are better left unsolved. Starring Joshua Jackson as Benjamin Shaw and Rachael Taylor as Jane Shaw.

Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns In this story about love and family, Bassett will play Brenda, a single mother living in inner-city Chicago who takes her family to Georgia for the funeral of her father, whom she never met. There, she is introduced to the Browns, her father's fun-loving, crass Southern clan. Brenda also finds romance along the way. The story is adapted by Perry from his stage play "Meet the Browns." Perry will portray Madea and Uncle Joe in the film.

Under the Same Moon (Misma luna, La) In this tale illuminating the plight of illegal aliens, Kate del Castillo plays Rosario, a woman working illegally in the United States to provide a better life for her son Carlitos (Adrian Alonso), who remains at home in Mexico. Longing for his mother, Carlitos stows away on a van that's headed for the border. An already treacherous journey becomes even more so when Carlitos is separated from his smugglers (Jesse Garcia, America Ferrera).
