This Week's New Movies

be sure to update your profile if you want to see any of these!

I Am Legend I Am Legend
UHGGG !!! I tried to go to a screener of this on Tuesday. I arrived at the theatre 40 minutes early and it was already booked with about 50 people holding passes outside the doors that also did not get in. I really want to see this. What is funny is they tried to give me passes to see the new Meg Ryan movie "P.S. I Love you" to make up for it. Robert Neville (Will Smith) is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable... and manmade. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City... and maybe the world. But he is not alone. He is surrounded by "the Infected"-victims of the plague who have mutated into carnivorous beings who can only exist in the dark and who will devour or infect anyone or anything in their path.

Alvin and the Chipmunks
This is a remake of the popular 80's cartoon that I know I spent hundred if not thousands of hours watching. This film combines C.G.I. with live action and stars Jason Lee, David Cross, Cameron Richardson and Justin Long. The Chipmunks are made up of group leader Alvin; tall and quiet Simon; and chubby, impressionable Theodore.
Alvin and the Chipmunks

The Perfect Holiday The Perfect Holiday
A little girl asks a department store Santa to find a boyfriend for her divorced mother. Union plays the mother and Chestnut the Santa. Rated PG this should be a good one to take the kids to see. Starring Terrence Howard, Gabrielle Union, Queen Latifah ,Morris Chestnut, Rachel True, Katt Williams, Jill Marie Jones and Charles Q. Murphy. Seeing Charlieeeee Murphyyyyyy and the pimp chronicles leader Katt Williams in a childrens film should be a unique experience.

In Short:

The Kite Runner The Kite Runner
An epic tale of fathers and sons, of friendship and betrayal, that takes us from the final days of Afghanistan's monarchy to the atrocities of the Taliban reign. This unforgettable story of redemption is based on the best selling phenomena
