SAN FRANCISCO--Jan. 31, 2006--MatchFlick (http://www.matchflick.com), the largest interactive online environment for movie fans, has launched its latest feature: a movie database of 14,000 movie titles and 19,000 film stars. This expansion enables MatchFlick's thousands of members to review, debate, and find common interests through films, actors, writers, and directors dating as far back as 1939.
With the expanded movie database, MatchFlick offers an opportunity for movie fans to express their unique tastes in the realm of cinema. Whether creating a list of their favorite actors, reviewing their favorite films, or showcasing their favorite movie quotes, MatchFlick members have a user-friendly process to communicate what they love most about movies. The interactive content for the majority of Hollywood releases in the last 65 years furthers MatchFlick members' opportunities for self-expression.
"So many of us have an appreciation of film," says MatchFlick Founder and CEO, Seth Leonard. "By offering a large number of titles and film stars in our movie database, we allow MatchFlick members to express their specific tastes, as well as to create more points of contact where members can connect to each other through shared interests."
MatchFlick's combination of personalized, movie-themed member profiles, member reviews of films and people in film, along with its interactive movie database, movie news, daily columns written by film pundits, and a member messaging system, creates a one-of-a-kind online environment for movie fans.
