A natural scene stealer

Since his beginnings on The Daily Show, Steve Carell has made a huge impact on hollywood. His comedy is widely accepted because of his natural ability to make us laugh. In whatever scene he's in, Carell steals it. In Anchorman, he played a minimal role as a newscaster, but I'm convinced that the film wouldn't of been the same (or dare i say, good?) without his input. The blooper reel on the DVD alone makes for great entertainment.

And lest we forget the 2005 hit 40-year-old virgin. Carell pitched the flick to director Judd Apatow and immediately picked it up. We can owe the entire film being made to Steve. The thing that works best for Carell is that whatever he is in, he's entirely believable. His ability to improvise on set is a talent that would of served Drew Carey well on the Who's Line Is It Anyway show. He's a busy actor with dedication to the hit series The Office and his film career: Both prove to be successful. His future is open to endless possibilities as in Little Miss Sunshine he dramatically portrayed a heart-broken suicide patient.

Steve Carell is the best thing that's happened to comedy in a long time. He's a subtle genious.

I think Carell is funny in everything he does, however I watched the previews for Evan Almighty and nothing about that movie looked funny to me.
