Movie Review by Jessica Film Junkie

The Sweetest Man in History

It belongs in this category: Chick Flick, because the character of Lloyd Dobler (John Cusack) is quite simply the sweetest man in the history of cinema. He is confused, honest and in love and you fall in love with him every time. Diane Court (Ione Skye) is just what he needs and vice versa, even if it takes her forever to realize it. I am still waiting for that seatbelt sign to turn off in my love life. Notable mention is Lili Taylor as Lloyd's best friend (female and male friendship? Impossible!) who is obsessed with writing bad love songs about her loser boyfriend. Before she got all 'Six Feet Under', she was wayyyy less annoying! This film also offers more proof that Cameron Crowe is just THE MAN.
