Movie Review by Zara

It could have been better

Right in the middle of their relationship, Geena Davis and Jeff Goldblum decided to star in this movie together. It failed miserably at the box office and seemed to sink their relationship at the same time.

It's really a rather strange movie. Meant to be a comedy which pokes fun at some of the popular beach blanket movies of the 1950's, combining sharp colors, ditzy women and musical numbers, it just doesn't fit in the time frame that it was released.

It is worth noting for the very cool songs that Miss Julie Brown contributes, including "'Cuz I'm a Blonde." You can also check out a young Jim Carrey and a young Damon Wayans as the two other aliens on the ship with Goldblum. It's not as if they really do anything funny, but hey! They're in there.

As weird as this movie is, I have to say that it gave me a hard-on for Jeff Goldblum when it came out.
