Movie Review by haley

the octopus jello creatures saved my life!

perhaps this movie should be listed as one of my guilty pleasures... because i am a big fan!

First of all, the characters (even the bit part characters) are great! warm and funny, scared, sad, and none of them are very attractive...thus giving them credibility as deep sea oil rig operators...

Well, except for Ed Harris and his estranged wife who are thrown together under the sea to fix the rig and to assist a mysterious, handsome, and yes... psychotic navy SEAL officer (named Coffey).

Under these circumstaces, the mean wife meats the underwater intelligence life, and this experience changes her attitude. When Coffey goes off the dead end and launches a nuclear weapon attack against the curious visitors, she risks her life to try to stop him....

Great story, fantastic acting, a truly heart warming love/hate relationship, and Ed Harris fishing a wedding ring out of a toilet.... it doesn't get much better than this!!!

I love Michael Biehn in this film and I thought the story was original......it really keeps you at the edge of your seat the first time you see it....
