Movie Review by Megan

Tom where art thou?

Riding on Zara's tales I won't rehash the plot of the movie.

I remember going to see this movie by myself on a rainy day. I wasn't sure what it was going to hold but I went because I love Tom Hulce. I mean seriously adore in a make him breakfast, walk on my clean floors kind of way. I was so smitten with him playing Mozart and his infectious little cackle come giggle.

He played this character with such respect and infused such a spirit that you didn't have pity for the character. Did you feel bad for him? Yes. But you didn't pity him. It is a fine line...one that I see many actors cross over easily. And I BELIEVED that he was developmentally delayed. He made me feel protective for his character.

Ray Liotta also played his part well. You could actually feel his pain when he was trying to make decisions. Decisions that would impact both of them profoundly.

But I am rather puzzled about one thing about this movie. Liotta when on to continue to work and Tom Hulce just sort of disappeared. It goes to show that Hollywood is a fitch witch that is 90% luck and 10% talent.

I like my tales that I sometimes tell, but I think you meant tails. :)
