Movie Review by Zara

ET, but not quite

I like that this movie can give you the same removed, childlike science fiction experience without being overly melodramatic like ET was. A boy gets lost on the Fourth of July one year and when he finally makes it home discovers that not only has he been gone for years, but that he was returned at the same age as when he disappeared.

As scientists are trying to figure out what the hell is going on, the boy reconnects with the alien spacecraft that originally abducted him and tries to make it back to his space in time unharmed.

This is a great starter movie for kids who are into space and aliens and science fiction nonsense. It has a great heart, a good actor for a lead and Sarah Jessica Parker in her young, frizzy haired and quite lovely days before being rediscovered as some fashion diva.
