Two Girls with Green Eyes???

I really can not believe that I have waited this long to post a review on BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA. I loved this movie when I was a kid and to this day I still watch it whenever I can. I get Back to the Future syndrome with this flick, meaning that if I ever pass it on TV then I can not flip the channel I have to watch it.

Filled with martial arts, very memorable characters, great one-liners, and a great cast this film is the very definition of a cult classic. I loved the story, the battle scenes, and of course Kurt Russell's innocent but crude personality.

BTILC takes you on a wild ride following Jack Burton (Russell) which has his truck stolen by a Chinese gang while attempting to free his best friend Wang Chi's kidnapped girlfriend. What Burton doesn't realize is that his girl friend is highly valuable to a supernatural being named David Lo Pan because of her green eyes. Chinese girls with green eyes are like "leather bucket seats," A high commodity. Lo Pan needs a girl with green eyes to sacrifice so that he can be flesh again. You even get to see an early version of the Mortal Kombat character Rayden, which was spawned from this flick.

This movie was not a box office success, why I do not know. John Carpenter did everything right and you do not meet many people that do not have good things to say about this film. They set it up for a sequel but sadly it looks as if its.....well let me quote Thomas F. Wilson from Back to the Future and writer of the back to the future question song.....

"Back to the future 4.....not happening" Yes that's right, its not happening!

If you have not seen this then you probably are not 10 years old, but if you are then rent it or buy it today!
