Movie Review by howiethejew

2 dollars... i want my 2 dollars.

now how do you review a movie that you'd think everyone has seen by now w/o giving any info away??? very carefully i suppose. that said...
...john cusack circa 1985. how many great movies did this guy make around that time??? so what would make anyone think any different of better off dead? in a nutshell, i've never been let down by j.c.; so clearly i may be a bit biased. just the same this one is one of my all time favourites... true story. i don't know if it's the little brother's endless quest to be a womanizing astronaught or john cusack's endless quest to beat the jerk on the mountain, redeem himself against the racing asians or to simply get the girl. either way this movie has all those important aspects. add to the equation one of the most disfunctional families i've ever...EVER come across and you've got a movie with all the fun and laughs of all the great, classic 80's movies. this movie definitely goes in the annals of all time fav's the first time you see it. if you're reading this and you're in that 2 percent of people in america that hasn't seen this for whatever reason, please, go spend the 4.35 at blockbuster or add it to your netflix queue. watch it today!!! today's jew review get's 5 out of 5 dreidels without any hesitation.

Arrrh then my defence still stands, I was born and raised in England....as a Cusack fan I do feel a lil deprived, I'll have to hunt me down a copy of this one.

This is one of my all time faves. I've never been let down by JC either. My daughters use that "2 Dollars" line when they need lunch money for school. ;)

There are only two great things about this movie, in my opinion. Booger, from the nerds, and the two dollar kid. Worth a watch, but I wouldn't give it 5 stars, personally.
