NO DANCING!!??!!
This was one of those movies during the 1980's which was supposed to emphasize how different teenagers of the kids of the 60's were. That we liked different music and wanted to dance instead of protest the war.
I think it's funny since by the time that we got to the '80's, there really WAS nothing to protest. Prior to kids running out and getting pierced up faces and other modifications, they needed to find a way to rebel. Something to protest. So they protested the safe little environment that their parents built for them by watching movies like this. Movies that said all you needed to do to rebel was play music and dance.
This is really a rather silly movie and I give it a higher star rating than I would if it were released today based on the fact that it reminds me of my youth and I have a nostalgic streak in me. The music is dated, for sure, but the title song as well as "Let's Hear it for the Boy," are still top tappers even 23 years after the fact.

| Heh, every movie I go to review, you have already done. Not a problem, I just feel my reviews are inadequate to yours ;) |

I read your Harry Potter review. I love the books, loathe the movies. They leave too much out and the ginger kid? I want to beat his ass.
