Movie Review by Terrence
June 1st, 2007

The Sleeper has Awaken

The movie is never has good has the book. 'Dune' has directed by David Lynch is still probably (especially the recent deleted scences that have come to light or the Alan Smithee versions) is probably still the best adaptation of Franks Herberts work.

This in of itself isn't saying much, but for those who haven't read the books you can probably enjoy the film better overall than those of us who have.

It's difficult for me to review this film because the first time I saw it I hadn't read the book yet and thought it was great. Of coarse after reading the book and the other books that followed I think the film is a flawed but unforgetable piece of movie history.

This movie scares me for the sheer fact that I saw more of Sting than I cared to.

And less of Virginia Madsen than I wanted. Life just isn't fair!
