An Instant Classic

The director of Evil Dead, Sam Raimi, has gone on to do the Spider-Man series, which has also been known as one of the best superhero trilogies ever made, beside 3. Evil Dead is really the perfect horror film. Its scary, spooky, gross, violent, funny, all in one movie. With Bruce Campbell as legendary character Ash, the name has alos gone down in history. For a 1981 horror film, this low budget film has gone on to be a classic with critics and hardcore horror movie fans all over the world.

Bruce Camplbell just absoulutely lead the cast with Ash. Ash has been a very popular name since the film, I mean, the film inspired multiple video games and 2 sequels, both which have been said to be very good. I belive this was one of Bruce's first films he has ever made, well he definately moved on to become popular after this now didnt he.

For a 1981 film, the gore is everywhere in here. I mean we get a great splattery/spray gore fest in here. With tears, bites, decapitations, gunshots and everything else, I was in love. There are a few jump scenes which definately got me, but I was in love with this film.

Bottom Line: Classic
