Self-fullfilling prophecies

The teenagers during the early 1980's were supposedly so awful that they were considered a huge threat. So much so that a movie about how bad they were was made featuring some scary music and horror themes.

It's an eye-opener when you watch it after seeing some of the more horrific things of the recent past happen. It makes the movie both oddly prophetic (The thing of "If you think things are this bad... we'll SHOW you bad.") and bad because it's so melodramatic. People really thought that it was really bad and played it out that way.

I'm losing my train of thought. The movie is worth watching so that you can look back on what was considered to be a danger and there are hints and elements that are chillingly telling.

Anyhow... it's a classic for various reasons.
