Movie Review by Martin
November 4th, 2009

Though hardly an 80's classic "Tron" is a slightly groundbreaking movie from 1982 that will soon be warrenting a sequal for some reason (the trailer for which looks awesome) so i desided to check it out again.

I'd seen bits and pieces of this movie before when i was wee but never the whole way through i don't think. It is memorable because of the unique look it has being set inside of a weird computer game world, and its special effects and action sequences are what make it work. They have dated a bit of course, but not as much as the special effects from some of the TRUE classics from the 80's (Ghostbusters is awesome but the part where that monster dog chases Rick Morranis across the road is always an unintended laugh now)

This probably isn't everyones cup of tea as its a bit like sitting watching someone play a computer game when you can't get a shot on it yourself, but is worth seeing realy for the visuals. If your looking for a story, theres realy not that much to go on here though and after the special effect budget ran out things round of pretty quickly. This is basicly the 80's equivilent of the "Transformers" movies of just now.

I liked the visuals, but hated Jeff Bridges.
