Movie Review by Melanie February 2nd, 2007

I first watched this movie in an acting class. I'm not entirely sure why our teacher decided that it was so important for us to watch when we did, but it was undeniable that the acting is incredible.
WWII was a difficult time in American history. There were thousands of soldiers and refugees that came to the US after the war, and were not ready. This was a time before going to a counselor was acceptable, and people had serious problems as a result.
I cried uncontrollably at the end of this movie. The amazing part was that I didn't even have children. Just the plain and simple horrors of knowing what people had to live with was gut wrenching.
This is not the easiest movie to sit through, however I think it is a wonderful movie to see. Grab a box of tissues and a glass of wine, and catch a glimpse of our history. (the tissues for her choice and the wine so you will not stay too serious)
