Whooo Arrrre Yooou?
Memorable quote from Alice In Wonderland: Alice: "Better read it first, for if one drinks much from a bottle marked "Poison", it's almost certain to disagree with one sooner or later."
This is the Disney movie with the most imagination...or drug intake. That is why this is one of my favorite animated/Disney flicks of all time.
A lot of little girls like to make believe and make up their own little worlds. Unfortunately, we don't actually get to visit those made up worlds, but Alice does. In her adventures in Wonderland, Alice comes across all sorts of nonsense. There's a cat that disappears, a rabbit with a waist coat and a watch, Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum, and mushrooms that make her grow or shrink...just to name a few.
It's fun to think of a world without rules or responsibilities, isn't it? A world where things are backwards or flowers talk? One of the reasons I really like this story, besides the Wonderland aspect, is the fact that it has a moral to it. It shows us that a world without responsibilities and rules isn't ideal either. No matter how much things suck in real life, you can never be sure the 'other side' is going to work out how you'd like it to. Be careful what you wish for.
If you haven't seen this flick...well...I'm ashamed of you...go now and watch it! ;)
