Never tell me the odds.
Favorite Movie Quote for The Empire Strikes Back :
Han Solo: You said you wanted to be around when I made a mistake, well, this could be it, sweetheart.
Princess Leia: I take it back.
C-3PO: Sir, it's quite possible this asteroid is not entirely stable.
Han Solo: Not entirely stable. I'm glad you're here to tell us these things. Chewie! Take the Professor in back and plug him into the hyperdrive!
I can always remember in detail Star Wars a New Hope and Star Wars Return of the Jedi but this film no matter how many times I see it just never stands out. Well I take that back....the first 20 minutes of the film really takes off....Its not long before you are already getting to see plenty of action and all the main characters from the first film. But afterwards its sort of hazy almost as non-important. Yeah I know that you find out who Luke's father is in this one and most people argue that this is the best Star Wars film out of the whole series. Myself, I like Return of the Jedi the best and this one and the first one tie.
I thought the introduction of Jabba and Lando was cool.. they were great characters to add to the mix. I think what gets me about this movie is that Luke is away from the rest of the main character for almost half the movie. Now I'm not complaining, I don't really like Mark Hamill that much....as a matter of fact his agent turned me down for an interview which I was shocked because I mean really what the hell has that guy ever done besides Star Wars and that was over 20 years ago, now all he does is voice work and oh yeah don't forget about that blockbuster hit Corvette Summer from the 80's THATS A JOKE.....regardless he was the main character of the film but I thought that Han Solo really carried the movie.
So I'm sure someone has a list of reasons why this film is the best out of the series but I don't get it. Now you see I gave the film a 4.5 so I still really liked the film but to me this film is not the one that pops in my head whenever I walk past the toy section and see a darth vader helmet or the candy aisle and see a chewy pez dispenser.
