Not just for the Sci-Fi fanatic
I am, by no means, a great movie buff, but I thought this movie was one of the best Sci-Fi movies ever made. I've seen all 6 of the Star Wars movies and I still think that the effects were outstanding for the limited technology they used in the late 70's, when this film was created. If you watch the newer ones first you probably wont be too impressed, because they are much clearer and have lots of neat effects, but I have to give this movie mucho credit for creativity!
I'm not a big Sci-Fi fan either, but I love fantasy movies and this movie definately made my imagination run wild. If you haven't seen it yet...Where the heck have you been?!? I definately recommend it to any movie lover out there. Once you start you wont be able to stop until you've seen every movie, it's well worth your $4 rental fee at the video store!
