Movie Review by Melanie
February 1st, 2007

This is another one of my childhood favorites. I think the main reason that I enjoy watching this movie so much, is that fact.

As an adult watching this movie, I have to say, what the f***? It is without a doubt entertaining, however it didn't really make sense. Although the plot and characters have some serious holes and a lack of depth, children love it. To anyone who has heard the title song, can you honestly say it doesn't have a tendency to get stuck in your head? Point proven.

The lack of reason aside, I found a pretty important theme worth mentioning. It is the most clear with the car, but is echoed in most all of the characters, don't discredit someone for their exterior appearances. Much like the car, that looked like a burned, old, wrecked race car, it still had potential to be extrodinary, so did the characters.
