The Fonda Show
If you are not a fan of Jane Fonda, you will not be able to stand this film. The entire film revolves around Fonda and her various relationships with her new husband, her mother, her neighbour, her telephone repairman and her apartment.
This film is advertised as a romantic comedy, but for the most part it is the Fonda show. Robert Redford does a good job at playing the uptight lawyer who just wants everything to be as it should rather than taking chances.
I love Fonda and therefore I had a great time watching this film. She charms everyone and is game for every adventure and she works these Neil Simon lines the way they were meant to be spoken.
This is a sweet enough film about a new marriage, but Fonda shines above the rest.
