Hercules Against the Moon Men (1965)

AAARGH!!!
WOW!!......In the name of Achilles' Heels, would you get a load of the colossal, super-fantastic movie poster that goes along with this here Hercules flick?? Man-o-man, what a terrific way to sell a mediocre movie.
ALAN STEEL (how's that for the last name of a guy who's playing Hercules?) is our ultimate, muscleman, hero in this dumber-than-dumb flick. And, believe me, HERCULES AGAINST THE MOONMEN (HATM) is a dumb movie. The title alone is your first clue to its stupidity. Mind you, for your dollar value HATM is real good, rock 'em, sock 'em entertainment for the kiddies and even babbling, brain-dead buffoons of all persuasions. But I'm sorry to disappoint Hercules fans by having to say that ALAN STEEL is no STEVE REEVES. Not even close. REEVES was, unquestionably, the absolute best Hercules of the 60's. When it comes to impressive physiques, STEEL isn't even in the same league as REEVES. No way.
HATM's story revolves around an alien race of thugs that land in ancient Greece and venture to the city of Samar. These cheesy looking alien-goons specialize in terrorism. And they just love to snatch up the cutest of the little kids and offer them up as sacrifices. Sadly enough, the Queen of Samar has made a shady deal with these alien idiots in order to rule the entire world. Can you believe it!!?? So, now, of course, it's up to Hercules to save the day and free the oppressed citizens from a fate worse than death.
HATM was, yet, another low-budget, Italian, pseudo-epic that was specifically geared to profit from the U.S. market in the 60's. Hercules flick's coming directly from Italian studios were being churned out a dime a dozen back then. And, as usual, everyone in the cast, except STEEL, had their voice dubbed into English by American actors. As you can well imagine, the result of badly dubbed voices is totally annoying. I hate having to watch lips move when no words are coming out, and vice versa.
