Paul Newman Retrospective #2
Favorite Movie Quote: "Taha, old friend, and very dear brother; Karen, child of light... and daughter of Israel: Shalom."
Paul Newman was inspiring and truly outstanding in this film that told part of the story about the birth of Israel.
No matter where you stand, you have to know and appreciate the story of a people that only wanted a home they could call their own. The tragedy of this people and this land continues to this day, some 60 years later.
The music of the film is ingrained in our minds as it was when this film was released.
Eva Marie Saint, Lee J. Cobb, Sal Mineo, and many more performed splendidly under the direction of Otto Preminger.
This is a film for the ages.
