MIGHTY STEVE REEVES SAVES THE DAY
With an impressive display of vim and vitality the magnificently muscled STEVE REEVES, once again, takes the mighty reigns of the golden chariot in this 'Sword And Sandal' Epic from 1960.
Set in the year 480 B.C. - STEVE REEVES plays Greek Superhero-extraordinaire, Phillipides, who almost single-handedly saves the oppressed citizens of Athens from the savage barbarity of the conquering Persians.
As our action-packed story unfolds, Phillipides has, naturally, just won every single event in the first, ever Olympic Games set in the town of Marathon. With an amazing winning streak such as this, how could our super-masculine, super-handsome, Superhero do anything wrong?
This film's story is based upon the classic tale of the Greek hero Phillipides, whose exploits were widely known surrounding the Greeks' battles against the invaders from Persia. The wondrous Phillipides uses his amazing abilities to stern the tide against his brutal foes.
Will Phillipides be able to pull off yet another astounding feat of brawn and brains to help his fellow Athenians?
Check out THE GIANT OF MARATHON. It's a great slice of ancient 'Superhero' worship from 1960.
