Movie Review by Martin
August 26th, 2014

"The Rover" is a strange hypnotic movie full of great performances. Its all about the survivors in the futuristic desert wasteland of Australia. Its kind of like "Mad Max" but without the fancy cars and costumes.

If that sounds like your kind of thing then maybe you should give "The Rover" a look. Be warned though, that it is a bizarre movie. But that's why I liked it. It was something a little different from all of the block busters that are forced down our throats. Sure, it maybe won't be down everyone's street, but what should sell it should be its two leads. Guy Pearce does his usual best as the creepy lonely drifter, while Robert Pattinson more than blows away his "twilight" rep playing a crazed future criminal.

"The Rover" is an unpredictable, beautifully filmed film with plenty of action that will no doubt pass most people by. But anyone looking for something a little different should probably give it a whirl.
