Three Faces of Eve (1957)

Intriguing
Joanne Woodward gives one of the most fascinating screen performances of all time in this true story of one of the first people dianosed with multiple personality disorder.
As she slips from one identity to another she develops each woman as the three main stereotypes of women in society: the over-sexed diva is Eve Black and Jane is the mild-mannered and normal woman, but both are hiding within Eve White.
The film is good, but it centres around one great performance. Woodward is daring and raises the bar for American actresses. Here she is lovely, but she is not a typical Hollywood beauty, she looks like many women. She proves that acting should be more important than appearance.
This film should prove once and for all that Woodward is much more than just Paul Newman's wife, she is an inspiration for a new generation of actress.
