Whoever made this movie really just had a whole batch off decent ingredients, and just mixed them all together to create a grand mess. There's a cool title, a hot location, and the film stars icons Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver, as well as the next actor to play Superman in the lead! Now what can we do with all off this? Errr ... nothing!
The film is all over the place, and really feels like its just trying to tick off all of the boxes to pass as a "thriller." It goes in all these different directions and usually ends up back where it started. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't know what the title off the film has to do with what's going on in it. Seems they just had this title as a starting point and then worked around that.
Willis, unfortunately, has little to do, and superman overacts. It's almost as if this was just thrown together so he could have something to be in before that "man of steel" movie he's making comes out. Everyone in the film kept going on about him being an amateur, when that's clearly what the film itself is.
Either way, "The Cold light of day" is instantly forgettable. Watch "Diehard" or "Aliens," heck, even "Superman 4" or something instead.
