Movie Review by Martin
February 15th, 2010

I didn't realy know what to expect from "The Book of Eli," but i will say, that i enjoyed the movie. I was thinking for a minute it would become some sort of "Mad Max" influenced action movie. When it didn't (theres not realy that much action) i was a bit disapointed to be honest, but the main draw of watching a film is its story right? And i liked the plot to this.

Its all set in yet another post-apocalyptic future (just seen "the Road" recently too, this is better) where classy Denzel Washington does the whole "Road warrior" thing, protecting the only remaining bible in the world from all the nastys out there who are after it.

The usually excellent Gary Oldman is onboard as an (un-usual for him) instantly forgettable badguy, and beautifal beautifal beautifal Mila Kunis is also in the flick, teaming up with Washington and becoming his unofficial partner, as he hits this desserted futures wastelands, hoping to get the bible to the only place he believes it will be safe.

An entertaining 2 hours this, if nothing spectacular.
