Movie Review by Bennie
October 29th, 2009

Rob Zombie is batting 0 out of 2 this year. This is the second movie that he has released in the past couple of months that I was disappointed by. The first being Halloween 2, which is arguably the worst in the Halloween series, although I never saw Halloween 3: Season of the Witch.

El Superbeasto is only seventy-seven minutes in length, but that's about one hour too long. It starts off kind of clever, but then runs out of clever jokes about twenty minutes in. From then on, it's a loud, obnoxious pain. Most of the characters are annoying, especially Rosario Dawson's Velvet Von Black.

As usual in a Rob Zombie film, there are lots of familiar names. Dee Wallace, Ken Foree, Geoffrey Lewis, Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Danny Trejo, Harland Williams, and Clint Howard all offer their voices. The biggest surprise though is Paul Giamatti, being that he's a multiple award winner. Well, it's a surprise until you look back at his body of work, and notice that he did star in Big Fat Liar, Doctor Dolittle, and Lady In The Water.

If you want to see some good "adult" cartoons, check out South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut, or even Beavis & Butthead Do America. They might have been juvenile, but at least they were funny. The Haunted World of El Superbeasto is just juvenile.

I think Rob Zombie is an idiot.

I'm beginning to think he is too. I liked his first three movies, but I think he's run out of good ideas. Some of the stuff that he put in Halloween 2 and El Superbeasto, lead me to believe that he might be on crack.

I think that Rob Zombie should get out of the movie-making business. His ideas suck. He's a rip-off artist.
