Movie Review by Zara
September 12th, 2009

OK, so this looks really incredible. It's apocalyptic and beautifully weird and complex and simple in appearance all at the same time. And the voice performances are exactly what are needed, nothing in excess or a particular actor for the sake of having them there.

BUT...

Where's the point? If this is supposed to be a movie teaching adults about not destroying one another, most of the adults today can't program auto dial into their cell phones let alone create weapons of mass destruction (other than more and more scripted crap reality shows).

As far as children go, this movie is appropriately rated as a PG-13 film with instances that are far scarier than most smaller children (I'm thinking under 7) could handle. Plus, they're really not going to get it. Well, hell... I don't get it.

I really don't understand the point of this movie being made or the point that it's trying to make. It is visually outstanding and quite the marvel to watch with your eyes, but that's like looking at a Playmate centerfold... pretty but nothing between the ears.
