Movie Review by E
August 16th, 2009

Just took a bath in toxic waste

Favorite Movie Quote: "Bad, bad, bad, movie"

This movie was so bad that after the first five minutes 3 sets of people walked out of the theater. Too bad I didn't follow them. Yes I am a female and hate things in movies like; watching someone vomit black goo, watching someone's fingernails fall off and be chewed off, watching black blood ooze out of their pantlegs. So I had my hands over my eyes ALOT in this crappy flick. We ate dinner before watching this garbage and I was a bit sick to my stomach after a while, my husband even dry heaved when the actor chewed his nails off.

I enjoy scifi but I didn't think this had any interesting scifi qualities. There was a huge spaceship that just sat there, revolting looking aliens, and hi tech weapons that made people explode and loose limbs and heads. Other than that, nothing else scifi. I don't mind subtitles and this had em as the aliens are talking.

Please someone tell me what message they were trying to get across? I just can't believe they thought they could compaire the holocaust or apartheid to what the aliens were going through. I was insulted that they tried to make that comparison. When the movie was over everyone was getting out of the theater as fast as they could and NO one was talking, usually people are chatting as they leave, but the theater was silent. I don't think I was the only one who hated this movie. I wanted to go home and take a hot shower.

Hey E -

I really liked your review.

I'll tell you one message that this piece of junk is getting across to me - It's saying that there's a sucker born every minute and the Movie Industry is doing its damndest to take them, and everyone else, for their money, in any way that they possibly can. And I'd say that their doing a pretty good job of this, too.

Do you know that another member here has the profile name 'E', too?

How about inserting a profile photo of some sort?

Hope that you will continue to post more movie reviews.

I just joined match flix and only for one reason, to talk about how ignorant and selfish your review was. 95% of the people I know enjoyed district 9, You are a minority among losers, you are the kind of people that ruin good things for everyone else by posting rubbish like this. When you go to see an 'R' movie, you should be ready to expect gore and swearing, you should have known better than to watch this if you dont like these things in movies. Go watch a chick flick where you belong. Oh yeah everyone in my theater was chatting about how interesting the story was and they would watch it again. This is what movies are liek these days, GET WITH THE TIMES!
