Good special effects movie

Favorite Movie Quote: "Didn't I tell you not to yell at me?"

I gave this movie 3 stars only for the special effects, other than that this movie is silly, loud, long, a weak story that is all too similar as well as the plot. Sienna Miller is hot but for a model she sure makes it seem as though she had to work hard to learn how to walk seductively in this movie, I'm not sure what is up with that, and her long black hair that is obviously a wig is ridiculous and not becoming.

I only saw this movie because I wanted to go to the classic Cinerama Dome Theater out here in Hollywood, CA, and well G. I. Joe is playing there. There were only 8 of us in the entire theater for a matinee, the theater seats over 800. I'm not sure if this will be part of my DVD collection or not. I found it interesting that this movie features mainly an international cast. Although at times I did laugh at Marlon Wayans' jokes I was insulted because he was cast as the usual black guy who has a loose mouth, who is a good comic who makes you laugh, oh and he has the hots for a white chick in the movie oh how original is that.

If you are into special effects and this is your kind of summer movie fare that you like, then you will enjoy it, if not then rent it especially if you have a good surround sound system at home. This is one of the loudest movies that I have heard in sometime, I know that this movie is a summer movie but couldn't they come up with a more original storyline? The story and the plot line have been done over and over, oh well as they say 'that's Hollywood!' Oh and as for the loudest movie that I ever sat through---the rock opera 'Tommy,' I saw it on the first day in 4 channel stereo back in the late 70s.

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra.
