Movie Review by Zara
July 13th, 2009

Confusing, boring, predictable... strange to use all of these adjectives about the same movie because I've seen movies which have been confusing and still been good. I've seen boring movies which still had a message. I've even seen predictable movies that managed to keep me moderately entertained, even if I knew what was coming next.

This is just a movie which is pathetic enough to try and capitalize on a movie which gained cult popularity status and even that movie is at times confusing and a little too much for the brain to absorb in just one sitting. DONNIE DARKO got more interesting and more worth watching the more chances you gave it. I highly doubt that the same would occur if you chose to watch this movie more than once. If you could even stomach it the first time around.

I will say this - I like Brianna Evigan. She's got something to her which makes her more interesting that most of the cookie cutter young actresses that have been coming out recently. (She doesn't have the lead here and instead plays the best friend.) Perhaps it's because her dad is Greg Evigan, one of the dads on "My Two Dads" and other shows, but the girl has a charm to her which is hard to deny. Even in a really sh*tty movie like this one.

To their credit, they used Daveigh Chase, the little girl who played his sister in the first movie to reprise that role in this one. That's the only link thought.
