Movie Review by Zara June 11th, 2009

Considering that this is a low budget film with B movie actors, the production values were better than some of the stuff that I've seen come out of major studios doing direct to DVD releases. In fact, the freakiest stuff about this ghost story movie is in the beginning when there are no actors talking, just running around while the lighting, music and art direction are going on.
For what it's worth, this movie does have some good acting (hey, I like Samuel Child, and not just because I got to interview him for this site, he's a good actor) it also has some stunted speech patterns being emitted by the lesser beings involved. The movie also tries very hard to be a little bit different from what you might have seen before, attempting a newer story, or at least one that's newer to me.
The effectiveness of the thriller aspect in the movie works. This is not what I would label as being a straight horror flick, although there are some brief moments where blood and minor gore is involved. Mostly, this is a scripted (and far, far better) version of what most people would think of as THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT - a movie about ghosts and what happens to them, where they go, what their history is. It's definitely a high grade movie for the cost it was made for, which is a lot more than most people making expensive movies can say.
