Movie Review by Zara May 11th, 2009

I decided to watch this movie on a lark, mainly because I inadvertently became a fan of "The Girls Next Door," that reality show about the 3 girlfriends that Hugh Hefner keeps in his stable. This was the year that that group fell apart, with one getting married, one hooking up (briefly) with Criss Angel and the sweetest of the three, Bridget, one of the two who appears in this movie, moved on the to Travel Channel.
The movie is basically a Crypt Keeper style movie with a bunch of Playmates and sadly, I've seen enough of the Playboy mansion to recognize that a good deal of the scenes were filmed on portions of the estate. The movie runs around the idea that Holly Madison, former girlfriend number one in Hef's bed, is the head of an evil college sorority who puts its pledges through so much hell that one of them eventually commits suicide.
Once word of the death gets around, the next year's hazing process remains as a lame ghost story competition where three unlikely b*tch candidates bring a treat and a story in an attempt to join the brainless peroxided masses. The stories are brief, they're fairly unoriginal, but it's not entirely without it's merit of doing what it intends to do. This movie doesn't try to act better than it is. It knows that it's a movie with Playmates pretending they're actresses and the filmmakers deliver on a couple of good chest shots.
Fun, stupid lark of a movie. I recommend watching it while drinking and doing shots whenever one of the girls rolls their eyes. Keep you entertained for a little over an hour in that manner.
