Movie Review by Tim

This film was hell....

Favorite Movie Quote: "You tricked me, you black-hearted who-o-o-o-o-ore! You b-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-itch!"

Horror films just either turn out bad or horrible lately. Seems like the genre is just misinterpreted by directors these days. Sam Raimi is a very respectful director and I have enjoyed lots of his previous films but Drag me to hell was just a waste of time and energy.

It had a very similar vibe to another crappy movie called Thinner which was actually as Stephen King film about an everyday fat smoe that was cursed "thinner" by an evil gypsies that he hit with a car by accident. The spell made the guy start dropping weight like crazy and in the meantime he tried figuring out a way to break the curse.

Drag me to hell has the evil gypsies or witch whatever she is and she curses a mortgage loan officer for not extending her loan forcing her to leave it.

The best part of the film is the character of Christine played by Alison Lohman they made the character handle the situations very calmly and didn't turn her into a complete basket case as all the evil things happen to her.

I wouldn't waste my time on this one its not very scary and even David Paymer couldn't save this from being complete garbage.

I thought this movie was laughable... maybe I'm just getting old but I think Barney is more disturbing than this movie. I didn't even bother to watch the ending I can't believe I actually got through as much of the movies as I did.

No I haven't, I'm starting to think that maybe I've just seen it all before, or maybe now I've hit the big 30 I'm just looking for more in a movie, than just blood and guts... while I'm on that topic I wish they'd stop making f*cking "Saw" movies.
