Movie Review by Martin
December 23rd, 2009

"Night at the museum 2" is pretty much to the same standards as the original. Far as I remember. The idea is fun, and brought to life by amazing special effects. The film is also pretty funny, although there are way to many gags that just don't work.

Ben Stiller returns as the night-watchman Larry from the original, whose now a big success, only to return to his old place of work, when he finds out his pals (the models who come alive at night time) are in trouble. In his quest to save the day Stiller ends up in Washington, which is the perfect setting for this sequel, as it allows all of the famous monuments there to be brought to life, just as the models of famous historical figures were in the first flick.

The film is alot of fun, most of which is aimed squarely at the kids, but there is enjoyment to be had by all, with funny turns from folk we're use to seeing in adult comedy's such as Jonah Hill, Hank Azaria, and Bill Hader. The change of setting is just one of the ways in which this sequel expands on the original instead of merely rehashing it, although it could be accused of trying way to hard at times.
