Slumdog Millionaire
I recently saw this film and all I can say is that it was "ok". I don't know if all the hype ruined it for me. Perhaps I should have seen the other movies that were nominated before viewing this film. I will say that I enjoyed all of the characters especially Jamal Malik, played by Dev Patel. The children that played Jamal when he was younger did such a fine job and stole my heart. The conditions of Mumbai sickened me and the treatment of the people, ESPECIALLY THE CHILDREN, angered me.
Now, do I recommend this film? I'll have to say yes, but in my opinion, I can't say that it was Oscar worthy until I view the other nominated films. Like I said, it's just my opinion.
