Movie Review by Lloyd
March 22nd, 2009

Wow, a gem.

Favorite Movie Quote: "I will be at the train station waiting for you everyday @5-o-clock."

I finally saw this movie I wish I had seen it sooner at a first run theater. Other than the movie being slow in the beginning and hard to watch at times, I enjoyed this movie. The acting was good, the story was good and it sucked me in. I liked how they did the movie, the sound and the music were great and enjoyable as well. The love story was cute, and the way that you saw the characters as children and to see them grow up as adults was quite an eye opener and believable.

Watching this movie we should all realize how blessed we are to live in a society where we are fortunate to live in good conditions. To see the slums of Mumbai where this movie was filmed is heart breaking to say the least.

Having said all of that now comes the hard part. With the exception of the movie Milk I have seen most of the best pix nominees, do I think this movie deserved the best pix nod? I still say no, my pix is still THE READER, but I did enjoy this movie a lot. As for the dance at the end of the movie, hmm, without giving it away, personally it reminded me of a music video that was done years ago.

Slumdog Millionaire, a enjoyable movie.
