Movie Review by Zara
June 20th, 2009

Unfortunately this movie had all of the elements of the first couple of movies (Jason Statham finding inexplicable ways to end up fighting shirtless, a good looking female with an accent, the cool French detective) had, but just felt lackluster overall.

The antagonist proclaims that he's a pacifist at one point, claiming that he set up things in the least violent way and that it is everyone else's fault that people are getting hurt and killed. Yet he's all too completely at the ready with a hidden knife strapped to his ankle when Statham comes knocking with the can of whoop-ass.

The funny thing is that even if they continue to make these movies (unlike the second movie, which ended with a cliffhanger for a possible job/movie after it, this one does not), I'll continue to watch them. Even though they can border on mediocre at times, they're entertaining on a very basic level. The animal in you can't resist a good fight or a endangered love making.

Basically? Jason Statham is pure gold and should be getting Bruce Willis paychecks by now.
