Dissapointing to say the least.
Favorite Movie Quote: "I'm a guy. You give me a two popsicle sticks and a rubber band and I'll find a way to f*ck it like a filthy MacGyver!"
Seth Rogen is getting less and less funny to me. With the awful Pineapple Express movie I was really hoping for this to redeem my opinion on Rogan. Loved 40 Year Old Virgin, Superbad and Knocked Up....to me these are all new aged comedy classics...
First off.... The cast was horrible. Although I liked the familiar faces being Tom Savini, Elizabeth Banks, Craig Robinson and the Indian guy from 40 year old virgin... I was not too thrilled about seeing Traci Lords and Katie Morgan who has always aggravated me by the sound of her voice since I first saw her on some HBO special about porn stars.
I like that Rogen always incorporates that he is a Fanboy into his films. Always listing films and talking about them. There was some funny lines in the film but that's about as far as it goes.
The plot is just stupid...it made me think of Be Kind Rewind for some reason. The acting is pretty horrible and to top it off the ending sucks.

This whole film was built around a couple in financial distress making a porn film to get out of trouble. However it turns into a really craptastic love story in which the audience is teased into really pulling for this sad couple to make it big and sell lots of DVD's to get out of debt..but you never find out if its successful or if they ever even sold it.

So... I also read that when this film was first being screened...it almost received an NC-17 rating for being too sexually graphic. This is a f*cking joke..the only explanation is that it must have been a publicity stunt because besides seeing a mans penis for all of 2 seconds...and flaccid at that....you see nothing that you wouldn't see in a PG-13 film.
Again this was a HUGE disappointment..I never liked Kevin Smith and never will ...he should really pay attention to Judd Apatow when making comedies.

| I didn't really have high hopes for this movie, I was kinda getting bored with Rogen and friends, however I was pleasantly surprised and entertained by this one. |
