Movie Review by Zara
May 20th, 2008

Well, it was better than HOSTEL. But basically a very similar premise, although made with a French film director and instead of people paying a lot of money to kill people at some abandoned warehouse, it's a bunch of Nazis holed up in this abandoned area of France, waiting for truck drivers and the like to come along. There's no fake titty nudity and the movie jumps right into have action, also unlike Eli Roth's steaming pile.

I watched the Unrated Director's cut of the film and it's very VERY gory. At least, my opinion of gory. Lots of blood, lots of guts, lots of people beating each other up and doing other unspeakable things to one another.

Too bad that much like HOSTEL there isn't a great story going on. At least this one got right to it instead of pretending to be some movie about friends kicking back in Amsterdam. At least you didn't have to tread through a bunch of pretentious non-story bullsh*t. Instead you get right to the non-story bullsh*t.

This was overall pretty disturbing for me to watch, considering that I was spending my time watching it and also the violent acts involved. Makes me wonder why I differentiate between violent acts that don't bug me and ones that do. *shrug*

In any case, if you've got a serious case of blood lust, then have at it. This should hold you up for at least a week.
