FILMMAKING THAT SPOKE LOUDER THAN WORDS
To fully appreciate The Lost World one must imagine themselves seeing this impressive silent film through the eyes of audiences from back in 1925. Back in those days, nearly 90 years ago, this film must have really astounded movie-goers.
The Lost World was the first screen adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's amazing story of prehistoric creatures still alive on a remote Amazon plateau.
This skillfully-crafted adventure tale is quite remarkable for its special effects that recreate fantastic dinosaurs encountered by an expedition in an uncharted land.
The Lost World is very much a predecessor, in story structure, to 1933's King Kong. This ambitious production is interesting as film history and is, overall, quite entertaining.

| I'll bet that this was better than Jurassic Park. |
