Movie Review by Christopher Thomas
January 2nd, 2009

Smart People=Lazy Movie

Favorite Movie Quote: "Making your bed in the morning sets your day."

Without rehashing the brilliant rewies already done here of this movie, I felt compelled to add my two cents.
Let me start by saying, I have a PhD and I got that PhD from Pittsburgh, so I understand clearly the material and setting from which the movie speaks.
This movie is the conclusion of what happens when a bunch of producers throw together a bunch of former indie film characters from other fims and try to jump on the coast tails of the Juno money train.
This movie assumes that you love idies so much and are so smug yourself as an outsider that all the producers have to do is call it Smart People, and you in your hubris will desperatly defend this hollow film.
This film has nothing to offer, except a guide on how not to make a film.
Unrealistic, heartless, and contrived.
Be Smart, avoid Smart people.
