All gore but no glory
Ok this movie was pratically gore fest 08. I was disgusted in some of the scenes in the movies that I had to look away. The plot didnt really start until half way through the movie. We just knew that they were being kept in the ruins by crazy men with guns. I mean we do find out why until much later in the movie. I never read the novel but talking killer vines? What did the creators do, copy "Little Shop of Horrors"? This was a waiste of time. I mean the gore was partly good. But did we really need to see a man have his legs cut off with a hunting knife very grahically? I dont know but dont see this.

The Ruins is a horror film. And a damn good one. If you don't want to see someone get their legs cut off, don't watch a horror film.
And if you think this film was a gorefest, you obviously don't watch many good horror films. |
