Passable?

Even though Mark Wahlberg is one of my favorite actors, this is not one of his best films. In this so-called end of days thriller from M. Night Shyamalan, Wahlberg stars as a college professor who is willing to keep his family safe from a deadly gas that kills human beings and must run in order to stay alive. Now, this film is alright, but there are some problems. The first problem is the genre. When I was looking at the DVD cover, I thought that everyone in the world was going to be affected by this deadly gas, but it turns out, it only affected the northeast, where the film is focused on. The second problem was this so-called thriller name. When people mean that this is a thriller, they thought this was going to be edge of your seat type, it just turned out to be a drama. And third is the acting. Another reason why people when out to see this film, they were not only going to see a great thriller, but it was because of Mark Wahlberg and believe it or not, at least to me anyway, he is the only reason why this film is alright, but the rest of the actors are in between if you know what I mean. This film is passable, but this does have it's ups and downs so please do rent it first before buying, otherwise, you have wasted $10.
