Movie Review by Zara
May 16th, 2008

What a craptacular waste of money. I'm sure that the guy behind this film (the same behind INDEPENDENCE DAY) got his funding because of the success of that long ago flick. I feel really bad that so much money was spent and yet there are a great deal of places where you can still see through the seams.

I'm not just talking about the INCREDIBLY hokey script that isn't even worthy of being in a Hallmark TV Movie. It isn't about the melodramatic acting with the actors who look like they were mainly hired because they were nobodies and could be gotten at a cheap price while supposedly sparing no expense on special effects. I'm talking about the special effects themselves, which sadly look about as good as a SciFi Channel Movie - and that ain't saying much.

I won't go so far to say that I really super-duper hated this movie, as that would mean that I would be giving it more attention than it deserves. I'm going to say that I really thought it was crappy and once again mourn the fact that independent filmmakers across the land have to suffer in silence while dumbasses who like this crap fund it with their money.

Me being one of the dumbasses as well. It was during work hours, so at least I was getting paid to watch a movie (and at a discounted second-run theater), but still. I'm as much of a part of the problem as anyone else. I just try to balance that out by also watching low budget. Your typical boring moderate.
